Oceanography
My oceanographic interests include biogeochemical analysis of hypersaline environments, isotopic analysis of methane gas emissions from aquatic environments, and impacts of climate change on coastal environments.
STEM education
My STEM education interests include providing support to K-12 teachers and students to improve the quality of STEM activities conducted inside and outside of the classrooms. I have a particular interest in improving access to high quality STEM activities for minority and economically disadvantaged students. My life goal is to increase the exposure to oceanography and environmental science to underrepresented students.
Economics
From an early age I learned the importance of considering the balance of costs alongside benefits received prior to making any decisions. This process is ingrained in the fabric of my being and ultimately led me to the field of economics. In this line of work I perform cost analysis and cost effectiveness analysis on educational programs with future plans of conducting these types of analysis on environmental policy.
